I follow couple African girls who live in EU. Is it true? Are sisters walking around in EUROPE looking this?

Naomi's problem was that she wasn't taking care of the hair underneath the weave. I don't think she's representative of the average black woman in Europe who wears a weave.
But I know you're memeing so carry on.

You place emphasis on the fact that they live in Europe, like they're supposed to be presentable for white people or something

No. Natural hair isnt that Big in EU its obvious . In usa you have large Black population and we have products and such. In EU you have to use What White women use. Its Tragic . You cant even go to hairdresser.

Nope MOST BLACK women in Europe don't need weave. They are usually natural , you forget few European countries have open discrimination on wearing braids and locks.
In America you can legally sack someone for wearing locs.

We have products, the natural/organic brands aren't easy to get on the ground but you can get some online. Plenty of hairdressers in London, Manchester, Brum and other large cities and their surrounding areas.

I don't know what your definition of a good weave is because to me most weaves look very obvious and I've seen this on both sides of the pond.

Honestly I can't really say what the problem is, but when one of my best friends did a semester in France she said good hair was hard to come by. This was around 2007/8. I'm not sure how it is now, but when I went to Europe a few years later I barely saw any hair stores and saw a lot of tragic weaves. I know the UK has some hair stores though, and I'm sure people can order things off the internet...but I don't think the weave wearing community is as knowledgeable as they are here in the States. I could be wrong though. European fonts please tell us what's up.

Naomi is British Jamaican so don't put Caribbean people in your fuckery. You didn't even bring evidence you just put ONE pic of a random woman and tried to come for Slayomi and her former hairline because you thought it would garner laughs. Not cute.

I don't care if someone wears a weave, it's their hair and money, but my pet peeve is the lumpy hill top

Actually, most black women (that I've met) wear their own natural hair, I live in northern Europe.

I notice that fonts love going in on Euro black women and their weaves/wigs but in the next breath be saying that all black women look better natural. Every month there is that type of thread, with a bunch implying that wearing weave is white culture emulation. Like what is the truth, pls?

I can go right down to my local Morrisons and get product and I don't even live in London so.

Most of the time their weaves don't look the best tbh but this topic is played out lol leave them alone.

Its not their fault though. Since the black populations of most European countries are extremely small, they don't have a large amount of Black Hair Salons to go to or tons of Black Hairdressers like we do in the States. And white salons obviously won't know what to do with black hair so..

And plus, Sew-Ins were an American thing, and also fairly new for the most part, so I wouldn't expect anyone else to catch on or be on par so fast.

I see what you are doing there OP, and sometimes you ain't sh!t...

But for real though, I see bad weaves everywhere so I can't say women in europe have it worse. What i do know when i was there they dont have access to the hair products and tools like we have over here.

What could be said though since we (the indes & americas) have access to all the right products to have a bomb ass weave we should NEVER see anyone walking around with a jacked up sew in but we know that will never be the case.:disdain Just take a stroll in Walmart, you're bound to see it.:disdain:disdain

I heard that the reason why the weaves are so tragic is because they don't really have good stylist that specialize in that...even the black one's. I friend of mines told me that if black stylist form the states would come and set up shop they could make a ton of loot....I just don't see black stylist in the states doing that though.

I'm going to assume you've lived in Europe? If not, please! I lived in Europe for years and OP is right sh!t is atrocious! Not sure about England but outside of there I have NEVER seen a black girls weave LAID except my own! I mean natural ass leave out and silky brazilian and just overall horrible.

Not sure where you get this notion that they are all natural? They are all hot messes! Some with wigs that they throw on like a damn hat!

Yup. I have a few theories but there seems to be a lot of slighting of Euro black chicks here lately for some reason

That's a general black salon thing and some white ones too.

Even without weave, stylists always want to bump your hair all the way off your head lol when they straighten, instead of a more natural straight look.

Michelle O's stylist in the beginning of the O presidency is a good example.

I don't care if someone wears a weave, it's their hair and money, but my pet peeve is the lumpy hill top

Live in the uk and due to the small size of the U.K. You don't need that many Afro Carribean hairdressers.

I can think of several hairdressers in London especially I.e Philip Eric, error Douglas.

Most in London I have seen are natural or relaxed.
People who wear weaves and wigs tend to be a minority.

Black salons in the US and Caribbean have had more time to develop skills, and a larger community to work with.

I don't really see many African salons specializing in weave outside of braids (which is weave too - just a different format). So if the bulk of the Black Euro community in a country is African, that's going to be a blind spot imo.

What are your theories? Because I don't understand why making fun of how the Euro sisters apply fake hair of all things lol, has become a constant thing.

Now Miss............

Not all ladies that wear weaves do so because they lack "real hair"

images

Even if they did, it most probably wouldn't be what you AAs call "good hair". All Eritreans I know have type 3 hair and so do I. They don't need fake hair because they can just flat iron their own hair and go with that.

Good hair is what grows out of your fµck!ng scalp.....so you are basically saying that Eritreans have more desirable hair because it resembles the European standard...please seek self esteem so that your existence is not dependent on the approval of white people.

Please, nobody talks about hair type where I live, I said it's what you African-Americans would call it. Y'all invented this term and this has nothing to do with white validation. Are you saying African-Americans wear fake hair in Caucasian hairdos so they can look whiter?

In Europe swimming and sports are part of the school curriculum. I know that is the case in France and Sweden even for hijabis.

I think that's why you might be seeing the "messed up" weave phenom. Personally I saw more naturals (locs, fros, curls) in Europe compared to here. I believe natural hair is more poppin over there compared to here
