Ugh i want this wig so badly... but i don't know if i can justify the price. I have to take a headshot for my medical residency applications and I really want to wear my natural hair out in a flat twist out. The problem is that natural hair is so damn unpredictable. It might end up looking like sh!t the day of the pic. I hate how straight hair wigs look and i'm not straightening my hair and risking heat damage for one day is worth it. Plus, i'm not sure if I want to do a protective style ala spring twists.

This wig would answer all my problems; but the price though :cry

Have you tried fingercomber.com? They have some bomb-a** dupes. Really good quality synthetics that look like natural hair, all around $80-$100.

Just get Sensationnel Synthetic Lace Front Wig Curls Kinks & Co The Game Changer. Brush the curls with a paddle brush gently to give it more of a kinky-fluffed texture towards the ends and spray with some water.

just went to the website and was pleasantly surprised at all the beautiful quality "black" textured hairstyles...
I think the longer 4a/b/c hairstyles wig/weaves styles look amazing
thank you

I’ve heard bad things about fingercomber. I there are some threads on here that mention the wigs don’t look the same or last.

I’m glad I listened to my gut just before placing my order. Something told me to check lsa for reviews and make sure the company isn’t all lives matter.

I’m happy to report they aren’t all lives matter but unfortunately, their problems with catfished wigs for $70+ is insulting. And for that reason, I’m out.

That’s how much I pay for Hergivenhair wigs. Ive purchased the same wig twice and it is worth it! I didn’t take care of the first one the right way and it lasted about 10 months...I didn’t feel like trying to bring it back to life so purchased another one. I still have it, but am lazy. I think it’s worth spending the money if you plan on taking care of it!

I suggest doing a high puff (these always look cute), a top knot, or a wash and go for your headshots. These are my 3 go to styles when I have a special occasion because they are f*ckery proof. Very predictable.

I have 4c hair though so a wash and go is out of the picture. I'm thinking a flat twist out with a middle part. I'm not sure if a puff will look well "put together" and my head is too damn big for a top knot.

Yeah, I really wanted a Fingercomber wig but gave it a hard pass after reading the reviews.

I really want a HerGivenHair wig, but it annoys me that the only reviews I can ever find are sponsored by HGH. I don't think I've seen a single review where the wig was purchased with the reviewer's own money.

The Curls Kinks and Co wigs are actually amazing. I actually like the Rain Maker and Heartbreaker wigs from that line, you should check out some reviews on YT OP.

The color of this wig is to die for. I love the light brown and then it's ombre too!

I like this wig. It's human hair but she had to put it together herself and idk if I'm about that life

Why not just go to a salon and get your natural hair styled for the pics then or do you just want a wig anyway?

With Hergivenhair, are the wigs flexible style wise? like can you pull them up, back etc? Or is it just for straight wearing like a fro?

Why are all the models for the 4b natural wigs darker brown skinned?

Like what are they implying?

I have a fingercomber wig. I think it looks nice. Haven't worn it yet. I want to know if anyone has tried to color it? They told me to use colored hair spray, but I'm not sure how that would come out and I'm not spraying up a $100 wig

They told you to use colored hair spray because you can't dye the hair because it's synthetic hair. You just have to order the color you want beforehand. Also, they are half wigs so you'll have to blend the hairline. That was one of the reasons I decided not to purchase because I prefer to wear bangs. Hope this helps.

Oh, I know they're synthetic half wigs....that's all I wear, really. My favorite was freetress creta girl, but they stopped making the color I loved :(. I was just worried about spraying it a copper color. Someone told me that because of the dark color of the wig, the copper will look rust colored. So, I'm worried about that. I don't want to mess up the wig.

I agree with the other poster. Go to a salon and get a trial run on a professionally done twist out and if it comes out great, book an appt for the business photo shoot.

i used to sell lace wigs and uparts like the one in the OP but there was one huge difference - THAT WIG DENSITY IS WAYYY TOO THICK! I looked at a bit of the video and I looked at the specs and it is 150% density which came out cute for the youtuber after her twistout, but will look like a big ole “hair hat” wig on in person and you will be heartbroken.

As a wig professional, I would not design an afro textured to a density of 150%.

Just get your real hair done and you’ll be gorgeous and proud of your headshot.
Good luck!
