I disliked how they phased out Chrissy Snow's cousin like that. What was her character's name again? Lol Granted, I preferred the Terri character. But it was sad to see her get two seconds of screen time once Terri became a roommate.

I loved the show I just didn’t understand why they acted like Janet was frumpy/not as attractive as Chrissy. I hated how dumb they made Chrissy it was annoying some times and I couldn’t stand her cousin they replaced her with.

@Liz Moisoigne, your expert analysis is needed.

I didn't even know this show was panned during its run (I was too young to have seen it in real time and grew up watching it in reruns as a kid) and I've come to the conclusion that the critics are sad sticks-in-the-mud who wouldn't know fun if it stomped on their feet.

That said, I didn't like their attempt to replace the legendary Christmas Snow with annoying Cindy. Teri was okay, but I thought that she was a step too far in the other direction of being the anti-Chrissy.

That said, Janet was prettier and had better style than any of them (I'd kill to get a pair of the jeans that she wore during the mid-seasons).

Oh, and John Ritter is an American treasure.

Finally, I preferred the earlier version of the theme song

over the later one

(I sure have a lot of opinions about this show.)

Man, I haven't thought about this show in years. My brother and I grew up watching the reruns. Back to back episodes. I wonder how it's held up? Seems like it would feel really dated now. So much of the humor was based on stereotypes and silly physical gags.

Big fan of the show. Loved the whole cast. Jack was the man. The Ropers & Furley were some fools. And Janet was so damn fine driving me wild in my youth.

Loved the show, but still have a problem w/the lack of Black ppl on the show. I can recall only seeing Blacks once in the Regal Beagle.

I agree with everyone who is saying that Cindy was a horrible replacement for Chrissy. Her scenes were never funny and the ditzy clumsy act was too much. I liked Terri better than Cindy but again, she was no Chrissy. A lot of people didn't like that Chrissy was so dumb but I liked it because all three roommates had their own personalities. Janet was the straight laced one, Chrissy was the ditzy blonde, and although Jack wasn't considered a ladies man like his buddy Larry (loved him by the way), he did get his fair share of attention from women. I also loved his physical comedy and plus he was handsome so that didn't hurt either.

I also agree that Janet was the better looking of the two ladies: prettier face and better build. But of course back then (and even now), the tall leggy blondes were always considered "the most beautiful". None of the blondes on the show were even remotely as pretty as Janet.

They should have written her better...

Jack and Janet are probably my top guy/girl BroTP. One of the best male/female friendships I've seen...

Chile, those scenes when Mr. Furley's eyes bug out and he looks like he can't breathe...I literally crack the fµck up. That sh!t is so hilarious to me omg.

I hated that Chrissy was the 'sexpot' of the show. Janet was so much prettier to me. But back then, it was a blonde's world....

There's something that I noticed about Jack and Janet though. I know that Jack was always flirty with both girls (Chrissy more than Janet) but when Chrissy left, did you notice that he got flirtier with Janet? I know he wasn't really trying to sleep with her but I just noticed that he showed Janet a LOT more attention after Chrissy left.

Three's Company was a classic
Mr. Furley was a hot nervous wreck.

I remember reading years ago there was a lot of behind the scenes drama with the cast. Why did Chrissy/Suzanne Summers get fired? Weren't she and John Ritter like Janet Huber and Will Smith?

Mr. Furley is my favorite supporting character of this show! Although I liked the Ropers, Mr. Furley was way funnier. He was always acting like he was God's gift to women but could never keep one...LOL. Two of my favorite parts are when he attempted to speak French. Those scenes got me every time.

Suzanne's husband pretty much sabotaged her career on the show. He demanded that she be paid more than John and Joyce and she fell for the okey-doke. She went behind John and Joyce's backs and tried to negotiate for more money. They were against it and Suzanne and her hubby kept pushing the idea that Suzanne WAS the show. The directors got pissed and phased her out. She had to finish Season 5 because she was contractually obligated to but she filmed her scenes when John and Joyce weren't in the studio. Like, when Chrissy was on the phone with Janet, those scenes were recorded and put together because John and Joyce wanted nothing to do with Suzanne.

Yeah they were flirty, especially Jack, but I think they both knew it wouldn't happen. Like I'm sure it crossed both of their minds and considered it, but it was their friendship that made them last. I think they would have made a great couple, I used to ship them and maybe lowkey still do,but I love that they never went there and respected their friendship NOT to go there...

Honestly, I don't think Jack would have actually dated Chrissy either and even if they did, they would have last maybe an episode lol...

Suzanne demanded more money. And her husband got all in the drama. She was like the Farrah on the show.

But it took the other two to make Suzanne funny. If anybody should have gotten the big head it was legend John Ritter. Sheesh.

Chrissy would have gotten on Jack's last nerve after one day so I agree...the relationship would have been a no-go...LOL

Exactly lol. Even if he tried to justify potential sticking around, even Janet would have took one look at his misery and been like "Really bruh?". Either that or "I told you so" lmao...

Janet would have lit into his behind! You know how feisty she could be, especially when she was proven to be right. I'll never forget how mad she was when she thought Jack had slept with her little sister...it was funny but it kinda made me mad. She should have at least believed her sister, even if she thought Jack was lying.

I loved the show!!!!

What ain’t funny about it?!?!

Jack used to always get caught with different women by trying to juggle dates at the same time.

I always wanted Jack and Janet to get married in the end. I only saw this show in reruns but this dance at the end of this video is my favorite scene.

I loved me some Don Knotts since Mayberry, but Roper held his own as well. I used to love how he would look directly at the camera (at us at home). Hilarious.

The show seems so dated fashion, hair wise, etc. But the writing was so brilliant that the show stands the test of time.

Yes the show is very dated, even the dialogue of the storylines. A lot of things that were said back then would not fly in 2019. But you are right: this show cannot be duplicated, no matter hard someone may try. I have all the seasons of Three's Company with the exception of Season 1. It's okay but it's not my favorite season.

I love Three's Company.

My favorite trio was/is Jack, Janet and Chrissy.

I like both Teri and Cindy, but I like Cindy better than Teri. I like that Cindy added some of Chrissy's energy to the show and I felt that was needed.

I like the Ropers and Mr. Furley equally.

I like Larry and Lana.

I loved Threes Company. That older woman who was after Jack in the later season was funny as heck..

Joyce Dewitt dated Levar Burton back in the day.

I was surprised when I heard this.

Lana was a whole mess. You could tell that Jack was turned on by her but I guess it was the age thing that got in the way of him pursuing her further. I'll never forget that first dinner they had for Mr. Furley when they sold all of this belongings and every time Mr. Furley tried to sit next to Lana, she would move next to Jack and then Jack would change seats too.

She was so funny! She was in season 4. I wished she had stayed on the show longer. This gif is one of my favorite episodes with her, the camping trip episode.

One of my favorite shows. Even purchased it for my collection. Really liked the entire cast, but Jack and Janet were my faves. Loved Janet style. Should binge watch it again.

The chemistry between Jack and Janet was great. I loved any scenes and/or funny lines between Janet and Jack more so than with him and any other roommates.

This was one of the funniest episodes of Season 4...."Hey Tarzan can I swing on your tree?" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

And then there was the aspiring actress: "I love a man with a big Bandito!" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
