I’ve been extremely upset and depressed due to the virus, and also because of the discrimination against me. I'm 40 years old with congenial heart malformation that makes it extremely difficult to do the slightest tasks due to my oxygen level being lower than normal. I'm being discriminated against by everyone because i cannot wear a mask which means i can't go to the doctor's, i can go to the dentist, I can't go out to appointments, i can't get shots, i haven't had my flu shot or vaccine against covid because i can't be seen.. I don't know what to do and its very depressing.. also if I get the virus im probably a goner..which idc about it but i can't protect my loved ones against myself.

Wow OP, My heart goes out to and I pray God will protect you through this. It's absolutely awful what you're experiencing and it's not fair. I do understand people's reservations about a person who's not wearing any masks as they also don't want to risk their health. Your anger is totally justified, and I'm sorry you're having to deal with this.

Maybe try to wear a face shield and a handkerchief as a mask that way your oxygen supplied is not too difficult. Also, try to limit your time in public and cutdown on the time you'd have to do wear the face mask and handkerchief.

Can you do online shopping and get groceries delivered online?

Is there a thin mask you can put on due to your health issues?

I thought if you had a legitimate reason to not wear a mask you could be exempt in certain situations. You’ve probably tried this before but call the establishment you need to go to beforehand and explain your situation? Maybe that would help. As for the depression, try taking some stuff to improve your mood. I developed depression during this pandemic and I’ve been taking a couple of supplements to help with my mood and general brain activity. It’s helped a bit.

Do you have a relative or friend? Why don't you go along with them to where ever you need to go, wear a mask for maybe 2-3 minutes to check in then go back to you car, have them (friend or relative) wait there for you and once you're called, go in and get it done.

All in all, you probably had the mask on for less then 20 minutes, hopefully that won't cause too much damage.

Please stop being insensitive to what this person is saying. That person said they cannot wear a mask due to serious heart conditions.

Every place that I've checked said no entry without a mask. The depression will never go away, seeing as how I am heading in the direction of being bedbound and losing most of my independence and mobility. . I cannot just grin and bare it

maybe you misunderstood me but no where in my post did i imply to grin and bear it. i just want to offer any advice because that's what we should do, help others. i think you should look into purchasing an oxygen tank and wear a mask/shield over it so you can get out of the house, go to the doctors and such. there's also therapy and most therapists are doing online sessions as well. if your depression is so severe, therapy can help you out. i would try anything because this pandemic will be around for at least a couple more months if not till the end of the year (mask order).

Many places now have a zero exemption policy unless you are severely handicapped. A lot of establishments have signs that say "no mask no service no exceptions".

I've seen people half @ssed wearing masks, like loose and kinda hanging off. Cloth masks can be pretty thin. I don't think they protect much on their own and don't really obstruct breathing like surgical or n95 masks do.

Can you try a loose cloth mask? Or those neck gaiters?

Is a face shield an option or one of those mingle masks? Costco also has these incredibly thin cloth masks with the metal nose piece. I always adjust it and point it outwards so that air can pass through and I can breathe.

I originally had a mask exemption but it got to the point where my job no longer supported it so I had to deal. You can also cheat a bit and pull your mask down when folks aren't close by.

Do you have anyone to talk to, like a counselor or social worker? Your health is your first priority. Do what you need to for yourself.

I think the other font meant one of the clear visor type of masks made of plastic. Likely those outside will be wearing face masks, and if it’s distanced, a trip to important appointments may be okay if you have the visor. You might get away with only wearing it. Flip it up when you need more oxygen, but have it down near others if they come close. Feel better

Wear a face shield that has very free air flow or thin piece of fabric over your face loosely and carry a doctors note on medical stationary if questioned

i take a bunch. the supplements that i take as part of my overall health but which help to improve my brain/mood are omega 3, vitamin B12, vitamin D, vitamin C, magnesium l-threonate, zinc, and iron.

I also take these 2 herbal tinctures:
Mood Juice
Brain Juice

I was taking 5HTP at one point which helped with my mood but I wanted to try something more holistic.

awesome! i take them on an empty stomach for maximum viability. so i'll take one dropper of each in the morning and wait 30 minutes before i eat anything and then do the same in the afternoon. try taking them straight in the mouth without any water (you can wash the taste down after). you have to be consistent with it but within 2 weeks or less you should notice an improvement.
