Hello guys, I'm thinking about applying for WGU next year and I was wondering has anybody that graduated from this college gotten any job offers. I want to enroll in their Computer Science or Information Technology program but I'm not sure. What you guys think?

I haven’t but a colleague went there for his MBA. He was a manager then moved up to director, now works at another company. I work at a tech company btw.

I attended WGU for my master's in Healthcare Informatics. It was okay. I went because it was cheaper than the other universities. You're able to take as many classes in a certain time span. So basically you can finish your whole degree in one semester if you work hard. I hated my counselor person. She was so damn unorganized and barely knew what the hell she was doing. Finished my degree and got a job immediately afterwards.

I just applied last night since they waived the application fee. I watched a guy that said he got his Bach n masters in 6 months. He did have 30 credits to start with but even then if you didnt, it would take 4.5 days to complete 120 credits. Years ago I was originally going to school for animation but my family fell on hard times and that was nipped in the bud. Now I'm just tryna get a degree as quick as possible because I want to travel around a lot and in order to get work in other countries you need a bach. I like that this is competency based instead of hw assignments.

I work full time but will aim for the 6 months once I get a feel for the exams and essays

It's an okay school. You just cannot transfer credits because of WGU's grading system to some other schools.

Yes. You can finish a whole Masters in 6 months if you work hard. Not really hard just keep a schedule. Log in and go through the work even if you don't want to . They log all of this. Some classes you have to study some you can take the pre-assessment and if you do well, skim the content, submit the tasks and take a test if needed. All the classes don't require a proctored exam either.

When doing the tasks. Follow it to a T. So when they grade it they can't say you're not competent in the class.
Don't start a new class until you finish the last one.

F them Counselors. They're jus there to keep you on track. Make sure you make an appointment once a week with them. As soon as you finish one 15 appointment schedule the next. Don't miss it.

If you really can finish in 6 months. Pay out of pocket to use tuition reimbursement. No use in using a loan only to pay for a 2 year degree with interest added. I think I paid like 1870.00 I just remember it was under 2,000.00.
