I loved everything about it, but I kind of disliked it when they stopped focusing on cases that's didn't involve Olivia and Fitz. I liked it when they had different cases every week.
I liked Poppa and Mama Pope. Joe Morton deserves an Emmy and whatever roles he feels like he wants because he did that.
I hated the direction they gave Liv towards the end, she got annoying to me. I don't like how they did Huck either. I didn't like Quinn at first but ended up liking her towards the end. I also think they could have done better with Jake Ballard. His character started off interesting and then they kind of phoned it in on him. I feel like overall Scandal had a great set of secondary characters that they really could have played with but they didn't utilize well at all. I don't know if it was a time thing or what.
I dislike how much shows -- typically those associated with "Shondaland" -- feel like they have to "humble" their powerful characters to the tenth degree.
No one wants to see Olivia mope around for more than a couple minutes -- let alone the span of multiple episodes + the PTSD that comes with certain events.
I damn sure never wanted to see Rowan cower to anyone. He was written to be not just the most powerful black man, but the most powerful man period yet he had a couple episodes where he was constantly being challenged in the worst way.
I like Season 1& 2. But, hated mostly everything that came after - Jake, Olivia's parents, B613, Olivia's kidnapping, Mellie slowly becoming the female protagonist. The show had so much potential and Shonda ruined it.
