Happy Birthday Whitney

The late Whitney Houston's legacy on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart is legendary.

Her biggest single on the Hot 100 chart is her iconic "I Will Always Love You," from the soundtrack to her 1992 film debut, The Bodyguard. The track spent a staggering 14 weeks atop the list and at the time was the longest-running No. 1 single in history.

Billboard has compiled Houston's top 20 Hot 100 singles, and unsurprisingly, "I Will Always Love You" tops the tally. It is followed by the buoyant "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)," which was her fourth of 11 career No. 1s on the list.

All 11 of her No. 1 hits are present on the recap (below) and also happen to comprise the entire top 11.

Whitney Houston's Top 20 Billboard Hits

Rank - Title - (Year) - Hot 100 Peak Position (weeks

1. "I Will Always Love You" (1992) - -STILL the best selling single by a female

2."I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" (1987) -

3. "Greatest Love Of All" (1986)
4. "All The Man That I Need" (1990) -
5. "I'm Your Baby Tonight" (1990) -
6. "So Emotional" (1987)
7. "How Will I Know" (1985) -
8. "Didn't We Almost Have It All" (1987) - No. 1
9.Saving All My Love For You" (1985)
10. "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" (1995) - No. 1
12. "My Love Is Your Love" (1999)
14. "You Give Good Love" (1985) - No. 3

18. "I'm Every Woman" (1993)
19."Count On Me" (Whitney Houston & CeCe Winans) (1996)
Whitney Houston's top Billboard Hot 100 hits chart is based on actual performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100. Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at No. 100 earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, eras are weighted to account for different chart turnover rates over various periods.

I agree with the songs but the order?

but it's all based on charts performance.

I played I'm your baby tonight into the ground in school:b41 she was fantastic. One of the few who made that National anthem worth hearing, even though the song and it's originator is on some bµllsh!t

Now that the 'National Anthem' has been brought up I bet it i in the Top 20 because it charted TWICE! B/S rules the second time it charted prevented it from being a #1.

Her Billboard Hot 100 statistics are impressive, her Billboard 200 statistics are even more impressive.

Twenty hit songs included in the opening post and still at least ten that could have been included.

Those songs are much bigger than the amount of weeks they spent at #1 could suggest.

It's funny that one of the biggest myths is her biggest songs are covers when clearly the reality is that her biggest SONG is a cover but MOST of her big songs are not [hence the bolded titles]! Also, another fun fact is she did write and it's cool that one of the songs she wrote on is among her biggest [Count On Me].
