Also, this is one of the best songs I have ever heard. Can’t believe I only heard it last year for the first time:

I used to listen to this on sunday mornings at one point. Like a positivity ritual. It's such a positive sounding song

The Regrettes "Hey Now" kind of reminds me of the Go Gos type of style:

I like or love (The Smiths <3) all the bands previously posted so I'll share four contemporary bands/artists to avoid redundancy. Men I Trust and Crumb are two North American indie bands (Canadian and American, respectively) fronted by female lead singers; Tame Impala is the indie psychedelic creation of a singular Australian man, Kevin Parker; while Mac DeMarco is just the emblematic Canadian chill pimp. Hope you given them a listen!

A few that I can think of off the top
Pink Floyd-Animals and The Wall
The Stooges/Iggy Pop
Lou Reed-Bowie wrote Satellite of Love and it is pure heaven.
Brian Eno
Roxy Music
King Crimson

Since you like Bowie, you may be partial to Lou Reed and Iggy (Iggy has a harder edge than both). They were all good friends and he wrote for them.

Omg I’m ashamed to admit I only heard More Than This by Roxy Music for the first time last year, it’s now become one of my fave songs of all time.
