Let’s settle this...
GOAT In terms of wrestling ability, performance, personality, popularity, charisma etc.
Doesn’t necessarily have to be a WWF/WWE male wrestler.

John Cena

I say this as a stan though so I might be a tad biased

My other options would be The Rock or Shawn Michaels

Overall it was definitely The Macho Man in the 80's.

The 90's (especially mid) belonged to....

Dun-dun-dun-dun Ahhhhh...ahhhh...SHAWWWWWWN! lol

Their distinct charisma and attire ALONE put them on a different level.

Taker’s been in some crazy, intense matches. I say the most intense matches. His whole character is INTENSE. He’s the GOAT imo...

Bret, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Stone cold, Macho Man,The Rock are more iconic tho.

Roman Reigns is the finest ever...

I think Mick Foley deserves an honorable mention. He has put his body through hell over the years, much respect.

Ric Flair and it isn't even close. The majority of those on that list would tell you it's Ric Flair.

There is a difference between being the GOAT draw vs GOAT wrestler though. In terms of draw then it would be Hogan followed by Austin. In wrestling you have to define which type of GOAT you are referring to.

Macho Man will always remain the GOAT, IMO. (It use to be The Ultimate Warrior for me until I found out how right-wing and racist he was in real life.) That iconic voice, his frenemy with Hogan, the relationship with Elizabeth, and always being electrifying in the ring, made him so compelling as a performer.

Plus, I love those damn Slim Jim commercials as a kid. :ROFLMAO:

I voted for HBK's problematic Texas self because 10 year old me couldn't bear to vote against him, BUT, I agree with you. And he's one of those that would agree about Ric as well

Chris Benoit was the best and totally ruined his legacy for me when he killed his family. Those ‘roids are a b!tch.

This!

There's various elements to being the GOAT- showmanship, actual ring ability, in/out of ring psychology, the character itself....and the person who has it pinned down the most is Flair.

I don't follow wrestling like that but when I was young and actively watching it, it was all about Macho Man. I was so invested in him & Miss Elizabeth.

I think if you asked the general public this, people who don't know all the smark sh!t, they'd prob say, either Hogan, Austin, Rock or poooosibly Flair.

If you were to ask all the smarks(basically just us fans that look everything up, and know what "working" is")I think Flair would prob get the most votes, but maybe it would be HBK, maybe Bret......Undertaker.

My personal favorite wrestler ever was just Crow Sting. That sh!t was amazing. After thats prob Macho Man

Smarks would definitely say either Flair or Austin. The casuals would say Hogan and maybe Austin.

I think HBK, Taker, and Bret are thought of as all time greats but not exactly GOATS. Some smarks just consider Taker more a legendary attraction, and Bret and HBK both get flack for being terrible draws during the New Generation Era. Bret was a great wrestler but to many he was boring and lacked charisma. HBK was great but again wasnt much of a draw and his back injury cut him short during the prominent Attitude Era. He had a major comeback and great later career but that was while wrestling was starting to decline in popularity.

The Rock has transcended almost to a fault and is morr thought of as his own entity from wrestling so that's why he sometimes gets left out. He's too big for the discussion.

Online I see a lot of people say HBK, I also see a lot of wrestlers say HBK was the best(I think Flair def gets the most loves from the wrestlers tho)

Completely forgot about Austin, but I think Austin was just such a character. I feel like people never pick Austin as number one(he's leading this poll tho lol). He's one of my top three tho

Its prob between Hogan and Flair, honestly, Hogan was on top of the wrestling world for 16 years, so people are gonna associate him with wrestling, same with Flair but on a smaller scale, Austin and Rocks time on top was relatively short.
