What the hell. If Lloyd had an Unsung and 702, so can these ladies. They didn't have many hits, but they did have that certain something. They were also extremely pretty.

Even as a 7 year old I knew they wasn’t gonna be around for a long time but I liked them lol
Lol-they're pretty.
Can't believe how many groups are out there that I never heard of-music reminds me of "in Living Color" and "Different World"-when were they popular?

Looked them up-guessed right-they were from 89-93. Love the look of that time.

I would love to see an Unsung on them!

Shireen reminded me of Vanity.....a lil bit.

They came out a little before En Vogue and were what I call "RnB pop" like Shanice, Tracie Spencer, etc... :cute

Personally I think that they could have been bigger if they weren't on late 80s Motown. :sidefrown

I'd be here for it. I'd like to hear their story and what happened after the second album. Shireen is no longer in the group tho and had been replaced by actress/singer Fawn Reed

Can't speak for OP but I knew they weren't gonna catch on because they were almost "too pretty", lol. They had a wholesomeness to them that was not in in the 90's. You have to remember this was the era of New Jack Swing and Hip Hop. They're style did not have enough edge and they're vocals were not unique enough to stand out like a Mary J. They were pretty much less soulful version of En Vouge, I personally liked them alot though.

Was it because the music scene was changing by the time they came out??

I don't think that it was so much the music scene (IMO, that sound still had a few years left in it), but the fact that they really didn't stand out like, say, En Vogue (who came out during the same era) had.

Once Motown decided to put the majority of their resources into capitalizing off of Boyz II Men's (who, truth be told, were a male version of them during their Motownphilly era) crossover success, it was over for them.

That’s an interesting take.
