Why does popularity and social approval seem to mean more to black men compared to other races?

Meaning that even into adulthood being recognized and being known is very important, even more so then tangible things like real power/assets/community relationships.

Because they can't get any of those things and only have themselves to blame for it. They too busy begging for hand outs and chasing coattails.

All the other races of men have all or majority of those qualities because they built and defended what they built. They also hold each other accountable to a certain degree.

I don’t think this is solely a black men thing.

Social media has changed what a lot of people consider normal and has brought a whole new meaning to “Keeping up with the Joneses”.

I guess you would be an expert on that subject, huh?

lol

LMAO! Look at you feeling all special with your "popularity" at 32. Need a therapist for the attention you didn't get in high school?

One thing we can both agree on: you will never see it.

LOL

One thing you can bet on: you will never know the status of my finances because adults in their 30s who actually have money don't boast about it on social media for attention. Get some help. Your inner childhood issues are showing.

True. But I notice with my female peers there becomes a point where they check out from the need to appear a certain way both online and in real life. I know men who won't post on socials but will leave themselves with two pennies to rub together at the end of the month just so they can lease a fancy car and have the latest gadgets. We all like nice things, sure, but many men never seem to grow out of wanting the biggest TV, the updated games console, the smartest smart phone.

Not just black men though.

I see a lot of women on social media trying to glow up, marry up, be at every turn up, and flex 24/7 via social media.

For every man rubbing two pennies together to lease a fancy car there’s a woman spending her last on weave that touches the floor, neglecting her rent to buy a designer handbag, and still is giving it up to a man “with money” in hopes of reaping some benefits.

I just know too many women trying to keep up with the Joneses and getting finessed out their p*ssy by the men you described.
