I watched this episode yesterday...I can see why he's the way he is...he's been through alot.
He's the typical breakout star that the other castmates begin to dislike. I'm sure the fact that he was a child did not set well with those veteran actors.
I've heard a lot about black comedians and wearing dresses/playing a woman/being in drag.
Didn't Kevin Hart get a lot of backlash for doing it? After he said he never would or something? And Dave Chappelle refused to do it to be considered funny?
I do feel bad that he had so much pressure from the actors who played Family Matters parents and/or the producers that he cried.
The only cast member that I was aware had issues with him due to his popularity was Harriet (Jo Marie or whatever her real name is). It's just like Esther Rolle and Jimmie Walker (Good Times).
I grew up watching Family Matters and it's so interesting how the boy next door ended up being the break out star of the show. I initially found him annoying, not expecting his character to blow up the way he did. He had a doll, a song on the radio, television commercials. Steve Urkel mania.
They should’ve took their concerns to the writers, directors, and his parents before stepping to a child. They were jealous of him because he stole the show. The show wouldn’t have lasted as long as it did if it wasn’t for Jaleel.
Why in the world did those adults come at him as if he were the one to write the script and create the character?!?!
I remember when I was a teen having adults bully me. It's crazy how some old azz people can be resentful and envious of a child. I hope his daddy cussed them all the eff OUT! Jerks!
