I agree there is something off about this whole project, and it might be because it's a mix of white people and non-american black content. I think she is a writer for Desus and Mero, which I love but this trailer doesn't look interesting at all, and them putting a bunch of white media quotes on there didn't make it any better LOL.there needs to be a discussion about this in the black american forum. i just saw the trailer for it and whenever liberal woke white folks and non-ados get together to do "comedy" on racial issues, i just never trust it. i never even heard of this woman but she's giving me the heebie jeebies.
Idk, I don't get those vibes from Ziwe. She seems comfortable in her blackness. But she's not the "woke queen" that a lot of people want from Black women. She just does her. But we shall see.I blame Black Lady Sketch Show and 2 Dope Queens. They all give me "black people performing for white people" vibes. She went to boarding school in Massachusetts and then a PWI for college so......
We don't need her to be a woke queen...but if you look at the trailer I think she thinks she is a woke queen.Idk, I don't get those vibes from Ziwe. She seems comfortable in her blackness. I love her too. Her comedy is more nuanced than in your face. But I am a fan of that type of comedy. I understand that's not most of LSA's cup of tea.I love her. Her IG live interviews last year were EVERYTHING. They're what got her this show. I don't think her sense of humor fits in with the majority of LSA (look at the bitter fonts in here already lol) but I'm gonna check it out and give a Black woman some views.
I’m going to give it a chance and keep in mind it’s a different kind of comedy. Y’all have made me rethink my assumptions.I love her too. Her comedy is more nuanced than in your face. But I am a fan of that type of comedy. I understand that's not most of LSA's cup of tea.

I actually went to undergrad with her. She had zero black friends and was known across campus for her horrid wigs. Nobody from our class can believe that she managed to milk her 15 mins into a whole TV show lolI agree there is something off about this whole project, and it might be because it's a mix of white people and non-american black content. LMAOOO. None of this surprises me. She gives off the vibes like she doesn't know any black people. I'm surprised she was a writer on desus and mero...I actually went to undergrad with her. Ok I watched...........
It was better than I thought it would be. I chuckled a few times. It is better than A Black Lady Sketch Show.
I like that it is doing something new and different especially from a black woman. I also think it is well produced, I am glad they invested some coins.
But part of me was like, i can't believe this woman has a show..... LMAO. I know, I sound like a hater. There are plenty white people with shows and I don't understand why either. So, Ziwe can have her show if they can.
I will keep watching, I'm sure. Can't say I will tune in live every week or the next day, but I will keep watching each episode to see how it goes.
i actually remember seeing a couple of her instagram live interviews last summer and they had me cracking up so the clip of the actual show was disappointing for meI think it’s funny! Her eye contact with the camera after someone says something “off” is hilarious
she gives me issa rae vibes non ados performing black comedy. i.hate.it.I agree there is something off about this whole project, and it might be because it's a mix of white people and non-american black content. she and i$$@ r@e are pawns to me sold out for everything. Her PR train is going to come and people are going to act like she is the best thing ever.there needs to be a discussion about this in the black american forum. i just saw the trailer for it and whenever liberal woke white folks and non-ados get together to do "comedy" on racial issues, i just never trust it. i never even heard of this woman but she's giving me the heebie jeebies.
she is so dry and every episode seems the same. you've seen one you've seen them all.Has anyone watched the show? I tried to watch the first episode but it was really dry. Wasnt very funny and was rather boring for me. She's too dry for my liking.
There are a few full interviews on YouTube but here are some clips I pulled from Twitter.
You're response sounded so much better than trying to say font were bitter (overused word) for not getting her humorI love her too. Her comedy is more nuanced than in your face. But I am a fan of that type of comedy. I understand that's not most of LSA's cup of tea.
